Call Houston 311: From warming and cooling center information to traffic fines and sewer concerns to pothole problems and neighborhood complaints, Houstonians can call 311 and speak to one of our highly trained Agents. From outside the City of Houston, callers simply dial 713-837-0311. Agents are available 24/7 to answer your calls.

Listen to KUHF 88.7 FM or KTRH 740 AM: Our region’s designated Emergency Alert System (EAS) stations for up-to-the-minute information from local public officials.

Register for STEAR (State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry) or call 211: Provides emergency responders with information about those who need additional assistance (e.g., those with disabilities, communication barriers, additional medical assistance, transportation assistance).

Community Emergency Response (CERT) Program: Central source of information about the CERT program. CERT educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills.
